Anything happening in Crawford County? Are there any landowner group meetings scheduled? Any information on leasing in the county available? Thanks for any updates.

From the Lease Offer Tracker on an other forum the best lease offer in PA that i have seen recently was in Susquehanna Co. earlier this year.  $6000/18.5%/5years

Best lease I've heard of was $27500 and 25.5%, but that was  in the Barnett late in the play, and the driller welched on the deal.  It's in court, that's how it got in the public record.  Best I've heard of in PA is $3500 and 17.5%, but I haven't seen any public record on that one.  Make sure you're protected in all other aspects, too - get a landowner group and a lawyer.  (sounds a bit like "get a haircut and get a job", doesn't it, but I'm sure not a 1%er yet:-).

Was offered $1000 per acre for five years. I think I’ll wait a few more months I heard $8,000 per acre is possible. Has anyone else heard better.

I will take a land owners group negtiation over dealing with a oil companies two page lease any day.  I have to live with my neighbors so its hard enough finding a lawyer not working for oil and gas company.  I want bargaining power when I get there and I want the best representation.  I want the best protection for yours and my land.

Richard, 81 landowner groups have formed throughout Pa. Ohio an W VA. because they all know the same thing.  Large landowner groups are the ones to get the best bonus, royalty and lease.  They are able to create leverage in negotiating with energy companies that the individual landowner or a small group of landowners can't create. The facts don't support your point of view.

The NWPA will lock your land up with all of Crawford county and some surrounding counties. Keep this in consideration you own your land and your local neighbor will be the ones that will be a better to group up with. Take East Mead Township for instant everyone knows everyone and can deal in a small area and doesn’t have to tie up their land rights with everyone in northwestern Pa.

Thanks for the information on the meeting Randy.  I agree Jim there is a lot of information to sort out.   Some not accurate for sure.   I have a list of questions and have been talking to my neighbors here and in New Castle to see what they have found out and plan on attending meetings when possible.   Thanks

This is what I got five dollars and ten the first time on my lease.  I more educated now.  I work with so many people who have signed leases or dad signed that takes a act of congress to break.  There trying for years to get out of there leases.  This is one of most important descision I will ever make in my life time for my family. some people think if you give 5percent of your bonus to the lawyer you get a better contract.  I not give alot of money away to anyone.  I need this money like everyone else thats why I joined a group for the best lease and bargaining power. I joined so my neighbors would not get riped of again by big business.  How many remebwer my brother in arms bob fike from conneatville who was killed in Afganistan last year on fathers day.  Well to make along story short his father was approached by a lease man tring to take avantage of my dead friends family.  keeping his dad from being ripped off made every dollar I spent from my own pockets for copies , dvd,  and postage to educate him and my neighbors is icing on the cake.
