How do you no when a well is put on line ?
it varies by operator. chk normally has personnel on the pad 24 hrs a day during the first several days at least. they stay in travel trailers usually.
one sure way is to either listen to, or observe the dehydrators. all wells have them at least initially to seperate produced water. if you're close, you can hear them operating, if you cannot get close, look for the heatwaves coming out of the stacks. the stacks look like a short stovepipe.
if the dehy units are cooking, the wells are in production. there is usually one dehyunit per well.

"cAN ANYONE TELL ME WHO GETS THE ROYALTIES FROM PUBLIC LANDS SUCH AS, STATE GAME LANDS, COUNTY PARKS (PISGAH,LARNARD, SUNFISH POND), SCHOOL GROUNDS, CEMENTARIES,ETC"
unless otherwise agreed upon, in all of those cases the owner of the minerals receives the royalties.
the game commission owns some of the minerals under their land, but not all of them.
schools will usually get theirs' unless there was a prior reservation when they acquired the property.

Comment by grayhairedgrandpa on September 26, 2011 at 7:53am If you look at the "Bradford County, PA" child board, there is a very nice Google Earth map that is updated periodically. We are all thankful to member Wayne Miller for the work he puts into this endeavor. For the Sept 25 update: click here. You will need to install Google Earth on your computer in order to use the file.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
