After more than half the crowd clapped, I knew the figure was going to stand....180 days from April 1st, everyone is supposed to be paid, ect, ect, ect...
I think BP is an improvement from Chesapeake, based on some stories....As far as the amount, ofcourse we would have liked to of matched the other counties...Like one guy said, the faster you get the money, the faster they can drill, and the faster you get royalties...

LMAO! I'm not a member of the ALOV group, therefore didn't agree to any kind of confidentiality
...and WHY keep "confidential" something that's already posted as a link on a newspaper's website??? It annoys the crap out of me when people scream about this supposing to be confidential...is anyone so naive to believe that EVERYTHING about this agreement wasn't already known to oil and gas insiders LONG before the meeting???
Ed,
And Jnic put six exclamation points on their email, too !!!!!!
The social media police will be knocking on your door. :-)
The lease signing information has been broadcast on TV and Radio.
I have read about the lease signing on several other websites.
I have read a sample copy of their lease, too.
But we cannot discuss this public information on GoMarcellus because we would be unethical ?
Really ?
Yeah, Utica...I'm pretty sure I know who "Jnic" is, since only one person on this site seems set on discrediting me and anything I post! My guess would be a flipper landman (for some reason, Wishgard comes immediately to mind!!) since THEY will now have to explain to future prospective signees how signing with them for such low prices is a "good" thing!
I've had a copy of ALOV's lease for over a week now, actually...just at the time didn't think it was appropriate for me to post anything about it since it wasn't available publicly until after the meeting Monday...
me either had copy too
Ed,
Here is a piece of confidential information that I do not like ...
The DRILLERS keeping it a secret that our land is really worth $5,000 per acre (or more).
I always hear, "The real money is in the royalties and not the Signing Bonus".
Well, if true then the driller should have no problems paying $5,000/acre signing bonus.
The results where on npr news today
Yep myles...and the link I posted is straight from the Youngstown Vindicator... :-D
Are the royalties net or gross? I'm still trying to sign a lease.
I know that they are net. I find that anyone that is affiliated with ALOV including the attorney firm that helped draft the lease is not permitted to help interpret or explain the lease. I find that very off putting. So "here sign this lease we are not permitted to explain" odd. I would think the architects would be best able to explain it. Certainly attorney Alan D. Wenger of Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell. They refused to speak to me regarding any and all questions however, they did refer me to another firm. Someone want to start a new thread explaining the details of the lease?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
