ALOV and Northern Trumbull County- Updated Discussion to include BP Lessor's and Bonus money Payment's

Hello all!

 I have been doing a little research and speaking with friends and neighbors about forming a group to address the needs of those of us not yet represented by a landowners group.

This led me to call ALOV after hearing that they had accepted some acreage in Trumbull county.

I paid little attention to ALOV earlier as their website did not list Trumbull county as an area of interest, although the work they were doing was certainly of great interest to me.

 From what i gather there was a cut-off of June 30 for sign-up with ALOV, they extended that and also had a meeting at RD banks Chevy in Champion. This may not be news to some of you, but i had not come across the posting until after. The word i got from an individual at ALOV was that Chesapeake set a northern geographical cut-off in Trumbull county of St.Rt.88, again this may not be a newsworthy flash to some. Many landowners attended, more than expected according again to a source at ALOV, and signed up their acreage.

Now heres the news, ALOV has agreed to start a "Waiting List" of still more interested parties from areas north of St.Rt.88. If you call them with name, address and phone number they will put you on the list, and depending on level of interest, they may choose to represent us as a group in a similiar fashion, with the same or even better terms to Chesapeake, or another interested party.

So call up ALOV, their number is listed on their site www.alov.us , and ask to be included in their next go around. From where i stand why re-invent the wheel, they already have done the groundwork and have the attention of the industry on favorable terms, lets ask them to either start another "Pool" to include us, or come work with us to the same end.

 Hello again to all my fellow Utica Shale Owners. I Just stopped in to ask if there were any who signed with BP from the ALOV Northern Trumbull county group, that resulted from these efforts, still around.

Has anyone had any conversations/correspondence from BP concerning title defects, or other issues that would delay payment or affect your lease, or gotten a check for Bonus money?

Keep the faith!  I have decided that there is no rhyme or reason as to how BP is paying us.  I think the different tittle companies must all be using different standards.  I know for a fact that there is a guy that lives down the road from me that has multiple liens against his property and is deliquent on his property taxes and has made no effort to pay them, yet he got his check 3 weeks ago.  I am on a payment plan with my taxes due to the fact that I've had 3 cancer surgeries and fell behind on my taxes, yet I had to go to the county and have them write me a letter saying I'm in good standing.  One more thing to clear up and I'll be good to go.  So please, know that I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for everyone who hasn't had that visit from the FedEx man!

Call what number? And why do you feel you would have lost out? Are you part of group two? Did you get through when you talked with BP? What did they tell you? FYI I have no tax liens, no other wells, on my property.

Please fill us in. Thanks!

If you get nowhere with the 800 # try Courtney Casey/281-366-2373 she is the Project Manager for Trumbull County....Good Luck

Thanks for the feedback and information. I am not even sure what to ask. Of course my husband has a business trip coming up, probably everything will happen then and put more time into the equation. If you are not home to sign do they send the package back?

I was not home when my FedEx package arrived. They tried two days, and left stickers on door each day. On the sticker was a "Door Tag Number" to track your package with. There is a phone number on the sticker also to arrange pick up of your package at the FedEx Building on Salt Springs Road. They will hold it for 5 days. Good luck.

Still waiting here in Farmdale..It seems like all of our neighbors have been paid, some from the 2nd group..Hope they have taken care of the first group..

Hopefully this will be the week. I think about calling but I fear it as well. I guess I feel if I don't hear bad news for sure I still have hope. I will post either way. If nothing happens by the deadline does that mean our lease is broken?

We just received the following email from BP: (better than no news I guess)

I just checked the status of your title search and the broker is still in the process of the title search. Once it is completed, your lease will be administered for payment or a defect letter. It's hard to give a set deadline as to when to your expect your check, and we really appreciate your patience. We are working diligently to process all checks to meet our deadlines, so you will receive your check prior to November 1st. I wish I could give you more of a specific timeline, but again, thank you for your patience.

Got the same e-mail last week verbatim. Hope she really did check with the broker. Just sayin...
