I haven't been out here in a long while. I still have 38.6 acres in Guernsey County, Center Twp that I would like to lease.  Is there any oil companies leasing this year?

You may, like alot of folks in the twps. surrounding Salt Fork State Park, have to wait till the Gubner,or whomever is in charge, to decide to lease the minerals under the park. With the State whining about not enough $$$ to do this,or that with the park, you would think at $7000. per acre, and Royalties on what?18,000 acres? would be enough incentive to lease. They wouldn't even have to have a drilling rig,or trucks for that matter in the park. Center twp. would be the spot for pads!  I heard that since the state, back in the day, more or less TOOK the land to build it,and there may be a problem with proving who actually owns those mineral rights.   Anyone out there have any info?

We leased with eclipse last year with some of our acreage in center twp.. At 5800/ acre 20%gross royalties .. Also kaufman auctions is selling a property with minerals that is unleased in center twp .. Online auction only .. Be interesting to c what that brings ..

that's good, I would be ok with that. Not sure anyone is leasing this spring.

That may be the case. Some of the parks in wv have prior mineral owners. Not sure if a landowner donated the property year.s ago and/or they sold the top side to the state. Either way like at lewis wetzel hunting preserve, the state has no say in the minerals.
