Permalink Reply by Mike Knapp on December 27, 2010 at 3:31am Hi everyone...Happy New Year!
Daniel, I used one of your comments in my below comment on a discussion in Sullivan County called "Is Chesapeake buying out Chief leases?" (hope that is ok with you cause you bring up a good point) ....a pretty good discussion and esp. the last few entries in case anyone wants to read it.
now about those NG vehicles....here is one of the last postings I had in the above mentioned discussion:
Now...I am new at all of this...but I find this very encouraging. Why do I say encouraging? I would like someone to be also concerned with our sales of NG (and the removal of it from our lands) to also care about America's part in all of this and not just for profit...but a real concern to have America back producing (making its own goods) on its own again. Sorta like when you have no money to purchase any Xmas gifts then your friends tell you go home and make your own!
so I just came across this video (done in Nov. 2010) and I see there is a connection to the Chief &Radler agreement with EXCO certainly involved with the Pickens plan now that I know that Pickens is a strong share holder in EXCO. Here listen to the clip... the meat of it is towards the end of the interview.

Now if this 82 year old is really wanting America strong again...we that are shale owners should be happy that he has such a burden to make a plan work ....and this also brings up Daniel Rupport's comments about recent plans of purchasing new trucks that run on NG for Pa. at this discussion link... (actually I will copy and paste the info)
It is posted under the discussion of "Recent Offers of the Marcellus Shale" intro. by Keith.
The state has agreed to start transitioning 16,000 vehicles to natural gas...This not a surprise to me as I predicted this 18 months ago...I'am surprised it has taken this long! The state is also looking @ transforming every other gas station on the turnpike to natural gas stations! The demand is growing...slow now...faster soon! (comment by Daniel Rupport in discussion recent entry). So the plan that Pickens has in mind is starting to evolve....this is good news for those that are involved in the leasing of the shale.vg (p.s. I do not know how to remove the line to the left)

Permalink Reply by tg mott on January 10, 2011 at 3:29pm Hi here is the last info I am aware of, McKean Co. and to the east & southern PA countys below McKean Co.
1. there has been oil discovered below the MARCEllUS, (South of McKean Co.) THIS IS NOT PUBLIC info.
2. The UTICA formation below the MARCELLUS looks to be a productive gas in large quanitys?
This is yet to be explored to prove the value
Permalink Reply by Jean Michel LeTennier on January 10, 2011 at 3:56pm incorrect ;-) Consol Energy(1.5 Million MMCF unstimulated) as well as Norsk, and Gastem have all established test wells into the UTICA in the last Months, and the results are showing 50% higher than the Marcellus...
NO imagine if we do not USE Water for Hydrofracing, But USE "Liquified Petroleum" http://www.gasfrac.com
and double even that production...
with no environmental risks...

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
