Chief is now drilling in Goshen Twp., Clfld Co. - they just started. Other companies have drilled all around, but no report on flows. I don't know about Treasure Lake area. We also signed a lease 2 1/2 years ago with Chief, and only recently heard from them again in inquiry to our hearing that they were selling to another company which of course , made us upset. Apparently, their spokesman said it was a false rumor.

I own 4000 acres of mineral rights under Treasure Lake. We signed a 4 yr lease with Carrizo 2 1/2 yrs ago. Just wondering if they are doing anything there or if anyone has any news of drilling in that area? I live in Lycoming County and there is a lot of drilling going on here.

I remember seeing a spreadsheet of lease bonuses and royalty rates for Marcellus members but I cannot find it on the blog. Any info out there on leasing in Clearfield County

I'm interested in joining a group of land owners in Clearfield County. I have been told that if I join a group of landowers in my area, my chances of being overlooked are less because I only own 21 acres. I have only been contacted once by a company and was offered a deal, but was unsure if it was adequate. Is there any information available on groups of landowners joining together or anything similar to that. Also is there any information on what a reasonable offer is for signing up with any oil companys in Clearfield County?

I manage a considerable amount of land in PA. Many acres are in Clearfield County. We have an active Salt Water Disposal Facility on one of the parcels with a lease that is set to expire soon. Can anybody assist me on where to go to get current going rate information so that I can be better prepared to enter into negotiation with the current lessee? I believe that we will renew the license, but I am not sure of the terms ($, lenght, insurance, etc.)...assuming the landowner wants to have this one their property. If not, I will need to learn more about how to have it property capped, etc. so that it can be properly abandoned.

Any assistance in where to find current rates, suggested insurance requirements, etc. would be very much appreciated. Thank you kindly.

actually, my family corrected me - we decided not to go with a permit because we are already contracted with Chief Oil and Gas, sorry for the misinfo. Still, however, nothing is happening and that must just be the picture of how detailed and slow things take in getting set up.
