TM....thanks for the update.....

I think the unnamed Privately helded company is Sierra....I just don't see them having the deep pockets to pull this off though.

Interesting that this meeting is only about 4 miles from where the Chesapeake Parker well is supposed to be drilled at. It does look like southern Tusc is starting to heat up lately. Maybe it has something to do with Chevron drilling not too far way in Harrison County or because of the proposed Kinder Morgan plant location?

Finally Southern Tusc County is getting some attention! There's a meeting at the Perry Township Community Center in Westchester  right off of (intersection  258 and 342) of  November 12 7pm, called by Attorney Chris White of Millersburg. He ONLY represents mineral rights owners/landowners, not like the herd of attorneys who rep both and leave you wondering whose side they are really on (several local firms come to mind)...Please spread the word, White knows the latest comings and goings in our area and will be sharing valuable info on those and more.

TM, you are correct. Our family has 90 acres in Carroll County that is divided into three PUs. One of the three contains about 4 acres of our land, the second contains 35 acres and the third contains the rest.

I think most of these wells in Tusc you will get 250 to 500 an acre a month. Just depends on production numbers, how many wells, unit size, and royalty rate. A lot of people don't realize these companies may only use a portion of your land in a producing unit. Just because you own say 100 acres don't mean you will get paid for all of it. They might only use 40 acres of it.

Paul, thanks. That makes sence.
