With activity moving into Muskingum County and Licking County it is time for we the effected by the Utica Shale Play to be better informed. As I live on the Muskingum/Licking county border is the reason for the combination. The group will be free to separate if someone in Licking County wants to run a separate county.

Here you can post photos of what you might come across in the area. I'd kind of like to keep it limited to our area to prevent a overkill of photos. Jodi a member here is kind of a roving reporter,…Continue

Hi Billy
Licking County Commissioner Tim Bubb (670-5110, tbubb@Lcounty.com ) is forming a Licking County Fracking Committee composed of key elected officials, 2 greenies and 2 oilies(folks like me that want to frack safely in Licking County
I have sent Tim several suggestions about developing Licking County Fracking Best Practices(BPs) that would help us frack safely
My sense is you are also interested in Licking County fracking and might want to contact Tim?
Thx a lot

Gere is a very interesting well it is just west of Hebron, Ohio WellSummaryCard.asp.htm%20Hebron.htm
Thanks Billy for always being quick with some info, I have a neighbor thats hbp by bakerwell with 2 rose wells not far from our property line, they own about 700 acres. If they had cores or cuttings from the wells I would love to see If the porosity levels in the pp were close to the harstine levels. I guess my question is more geared towards being 20 miles or so from the sensibaugh and harstine east, does the sensibaugh data point derisk our area, or do we need the consolidated coal unit by enervest as well to make the triangle. Or is rock pressure, and fracking technique our hurdle to enhance the current "market".
J when the Rose Run was drilled I doubt if they gave much thought about the shale and went through it without taking core samples, my guess.
Anybody know of any other core samples other than the Harstine cores in that area, or is that the only info on the table currently. There has to be something out there from the rose run wells.
Jodi the well up by Utica?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
