Comment by Jim Litwinowicz on January 22, 2014 at 7:50am Not too quiet. Hilcorp applied for twelve permits for new pads in Lawrence Co. That could mean 30 or 40 wells. All in the western county. The processing plant just over state border is now online allowing for companies to separate constituents, which is one reason why more wells will be drilled ASAP.
I'm still waiting for news about the Shell pipeline in the eastern half to run to the Twentier, Mayberry and wells in Butler Co around Slippery Rock.
Just give it a few months. Construction started on the Pennant Midstream Pipeline last week that runs from Big Bend up in Mercer County down to the cryogenic plant out on Stateline Road. Maps are up on the Mercer County group:

Comment by Chris Crawley on January 21, 2014 at 5:46am As Sam would say..this site is "deader" than a dead cat...
Anybody have any recent news about Lawrence Co?
Comment by Jim Litwinowicz on September 11, 2013 at 3:00pm The NC News had a front page article showing that the Shenango Bowling is being torn down. It was bought by a Texas firm that sells valves and related items to the gas biz. They will build an 80,000 sq ft facility but no word on how many jobs will be there.
Comment by Jim Litwinowicz on July 4, 2013 at 12:35pm Today's New Castle News ( July 4th) says that Hilcorp is getting permits for five more wells for the Kinkela pad site in Pulaski Township. Stated there are already three permitted, two drilled and one being drilled on the pad now. They must have been very happy with what hey found if they are permitting five more. I wonder if they are all for the Utica or are they drilling different strata?
With a new nat gas power plant and the W Pittsburgh coal plant being converted to nat gas there will be a need for a lot of gas locally. Now just get the Shell cracker going and it will be off to the races!
I just wanted to let you know about an upcoming Seminar Series through the YPE called Energy Industry Training Series- It’s 12 part series, although you can just attend one or two if you like. The first Seminar is in June, and gives a complete overview of both the Marcellus and Utica plays.

Comment by Lance Nimmo on April 23, 2013 at 6:39am Gail, if you are unleased, they are not leasing.
Comment by gail smith on April 13, 2013 at 7:44am Does anyone have the phone number to the Shell office on New Butler Rd. in Shenango Twp? Also, who should I speak to there about leasing my land?
Comment by Chris Crawley on April 12, 2013 at 8:27am Looks like all the drilling is on existing pads..I've noticed lots of sesmic testing going on North of NC along 168 and down 956..Any news of pipelines or new permits??

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
