A group of more than 400 Carroll County property owners has signed a lease agreement with a Pennsylvania oil company, earning $40 million in bonus money in the deal.
The group, called S.U.R.E. (Standing United Really Excel), signed the agreement June 1 with Rex Energy of State College, Pa.

land locked?
We own 23 acres in Wheeling twp. We sold 50 acres to people in Cleveland..they are on board to sign with Landowners group..however all the other landowners surrounding us...and they own a lot of land..are totally unresponsive to signing ANY lease with anyone. where does that leave us? Our one neighbor has a producing gas well already with Kimball, so he's tied up and can't really do anything. does anyone have answers to this dilemma? Crawford County Mineral Rights
Does anyone know of companies leasing in crawford county. If so what's the average per acre amount going for in that area.
Frak Water treatment facilites
I am part of a company that is looking to invest in Southwest PA. We have patented water treatment technology and are looking in Westmoreland county for available land. I would like to know what information is out there about frak water. Details like volume of water, location of wells, chemicals used would be most helpful!

Guidence for the greenhorn
Hello, I am new here, and new to the oil and gas business. I wish I would have found this site a few years ago, here is my situation. I live in southeastern Geauga county about a mile from the Trumbull co line. There has been a lot of drilling activity in the area since about 2007, I had a lease with Wilkes Energy and they actually had a permit to drill in 2008 (permitted well site no. 21997 on the ODNR map) but never drilled a well.
