I'm a new member to this group and I'm a landowner in Noble County.  Recently my wife and I was approached by a gentleman representing Jim Bourbeau Land Services, inc. He said they represent Anadarko out of Texas.  He gave us a sample of a lease, the printing was too small to read and so he's going to come back with a better sample with larger print.  Now my wife and I have not signed with anybody and I understand that there is a meeting tonight at the community center at the noble county fairgrounds.  I wonder somebody could give me some information on this meeting? I live between Belle Valley and Caldwell, so I'm curious as to just what exactly is going on.

Des is a landman and can represent any oil and gas company that will pay him to obtain leases for them.

Is Des Wertheimer still associated with Schreiner O+G ? I know He was representing them up in North Royalton Oh. in 2008. Google Schreiner O+G.

Is the meeting tomorrow @ the Community Center open to anyone from Noble County?

I inquired about Garrisons group awhile back. They are very committed to the eco-system, protecting waterways, etc.... All things that can be written into any contract. Yes she has a Geologist and a very strong team working with her. I did not feel good about having to lock in to a year's agreement, and giving up a percentage of any well drilled within the group. They did not provide any sample leases or examples of leases they had negotiated. Also wanted the landowner to pay the fee. They would not allow the company to pay it. Might be a good group if they are a good fit for you.

They were not for me. KWGD was a better group as far as I was concerned. At least you could back out at any time. I keep hearing positives about Wes and look forward to meeting some of you at the meeting this Thursday!

The plat maps won't tell you if the neighbor's property is leased or will be leased. You need to talk to your neighbors to see what they are doing. If your property borders any larger blocks of land, they are likely looking into leasing or may have already. If you are surrounded by smaller parcels like yours, it is hard to tell without talking to the neighbors.

Correct me if I am wrong.... I need to go to the Noble County Recorder's Office and check the "Plot Map"?

Yes, if any of your neighboring properties are being leased.

If you own 1.7 acres, is the any use in attending the meetings?

Is there any deadline's for signing up with Des's group, I know Garrison's is coming up quick.
