Kudos to the people in this website that actually used their real names. Where one can see on the County Auditor's page that you are a landowner. I thank you.

We own mineral rights in Windham Township under 194.06 acres and have been talking to Talisman for over 6 months about leasing our rights and now we are in a holding pattern. They have leased abutting land and most of the land surrounding ours yet are stalling on finalizing our lease. We have a Bonus Money amount and Royalty amount agreed upon. Budget concerns seem to be the Talisman position. Now I read that Chesapeake is taking over Talisman leases in Litchfield Township which are in…

Has anyone in the georgetown area been contacted about leasing their land? We have 24 acres above Georgetown and are curious to know what a lease in that area is worth. We were contacted a while ago by a landman but the offer was so low that we didn't respond. In our area which is Beaver county leases are going for about 3200 to 38oo with a 20% royalty.I'm new to this site so please bear with me.

We were told by our gas company that they were putting a single pad with four wells on it on our neighbor's property behind us in Susquehanna County. Two were going South and two were going North. They told us two were going directly beneath our property. Yeah. Would I be correct to assume that all four wells would make up one unit? Or would the two going South be one unit, and the two going North be in a seperate unit? I appreciate any input.

This site is the greatest thing since bubblegum.
It keeps the guys from stopping by the bars on their way home from work. It gives us old fogies something to do all day. It may be helping a few pocket books by giving us an idea of when to lease and how much to expect. It gives us someone to talk to. We can pick others brains and let others know how smart we are and how rich we are getting. It may be keeping a few oilmen honest if that is possible. Thanks again to all.

Like Land And Water; Oil And Gas Are The Peoples’ Resources
By: Robert A. Young
The “Marcellus Shale Play” is as much about people as it is about the precious product and corporate profits.
Like many Bradford County, Pennsylvania residents, my family roots also run deep into the history of the “endless mountains.“ However, uniquely; most of my early life was spent in the urban centers of Philadelphia and Northern New Jersey, where I was educated,…

A Proclamation
The year that is drawing toward its close has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever-watchful…

I was reading Jeff K's blog from Tioga County re: allowing ponds to be placed on your property. I know little about the fracking process, about the entire process in general, but learning what I can, so I ask: Is the pond accessed from the surface after it is created, or does the access come from off site? The surface of my land is a cemetery. Wouldn't want the dead disturbed. In other words, if the energy company creates a pond on my land, or widens, enhances, or deepens the one I have,…

“{“Breaker-Breaker”}…Fracking and Trucking Safety”
A few months ago, the Daily Review newspaper in Towanda, PA featured a letter to the editor calling for policing gas and oil wells in Pennsylvania for public safety reasons.
If you ask most people who live and work at the supposed epicenter of the “Marcellus Shale Play”; Bradford County, PA,…

County Groups now Open for Promoting
We are making some slight changes to our non-solicitation rules on GoMarcellusShale.com. The reason for the change is that it has become evident that there is a need for a place where landgroups and mineral owners can network, organize and yes, even promote. So with that said, the no-solicitation rule is only lifted in the county groups. Land…

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
