No GP has not drilled a well in Guernsey County No one has drilled any horizontal wells in Guernsey County. However Chesapeake is drilling in Wheeling twp rig moved on 8-2-11 and this well is to be drilled horizontal. Tks Michael J Belaj

Gulfport Energy Utica shale well assumptions each well will have an estimated ultimate recovery ranging from 455000 to 910000 barrels of oil equivalent.So a average well will produce 682,500 barrels @ 87.00 per bbl =59,377,500.00 x 17%= 10,094,175.00 landowner royality. Gulfport wells will be spaced 160 acres apart. You would think this would be big news.Why has the jeffersonian taken pictures or written a story. Michael J Belaj

 Three wells have been permitted in Guernsey County for horizontal drilling Liberty township and Wheeling township they are in the north west qtr of the County RHDK Investments Ringer and Hambright .The location is made for the rhdk and equipment is moving onto location. If you get a chance check out what a great improvement the drilling company did to the road.

Heard that two residents living on Larrick Ridge Road leased to CHK last week.  One for $4100 acre/20% royalty 5 year lease and the other for $3800/acrea with 20% royalty.  I did not speak to either, but this comes to me from a strong resource.  Interesting!

welcome aboard, Going to start out with what Ronnie Dennis said the other day and it fits in ,You got  to learn to hold and when to fold . This being a very popular site to learn on what's going on in the county. We need to get all the information in Guernsey county.

Going to all the meeting  you can and ask question even if you know the answer. But remember to hold and when to   fold .
