Scott, Where is Bargar Road? Part of my property is approximately 2.5 miles due east of the Buell well.

Finnbear,  I am not part of any producing drilling unit. I recieved the letter on Saturday and to my knowledge some of my bordering neighbors recieved one also. My property is on Bargar rd in Archer twp probably 1.5 to 2 miles from the Buell well as the crow flies. I asked him if he was interested in a piece of property I have in Stock twp and he said if it was in the eastern half of Stock he would be. I thought that was interesting but he didn't explain his reason. It is my feeling that they are aware we are in a hot area and are wanting to get their fingers in the cookie jar as cheap as they can. He stated several times that if I didn't want to sell the rights to all the acreage he would take whatever I would sell.  Robert and Valorie I am suspicious and curious at the same time. What do you guy's think is going on ?

Scott, we got a letter from Principle Energy about buying our Royalty Conveyances. I guess if you need money NOW it would be ok. BUT, I am suspicious. It is a gamble. We didn't bother to call to get their offer. It would be money NOW, but it may be a pittance compared to what you will get when and if they drill under your property. This is the first we have heard of Royalty Conveyance! Makes me VERY suspicious.

I have been contacted by Pinnacle energy concerning selling them my royalty percentage. They are wanting to purchase all or some of the acreage for a 5 year term . I thought the offer was ridiculously low. Have any of you been contacted by them ?

Wonder how long it will take for the offers to reach this amount in Harrison and Carroll county...

Kenneth L. Balliet, a forestry and business management educator with the Penn  State Cooperative Extension, recently took a trip to Fort Worth to see the  economic impacts of those deposits. He said leases are being signed for $18,000  per acre in areas where production has proven strong.
