Comment by Bill DeVore on June 6, 2013 at 1:27am Over the past few months we have been offered up to 9500.00 per acre. Thats over a half million dollars for minerals on 54 acres. Just how long for them to start making money on that investment if there is no money in this. I think they are smarter than that. I cant say who it was because those letters always go in the trash.
Comment by Kriste Sayel on June 5, 2013 at 7:22am I find it interesting that the offers we've been getting these past few weeks have basically informed us that because of the recent ODNR reports regarding the lack of oil in this area, they (the mineral buyers) would be doing us a favor taking these burdensome mineral rights off our hands. Wording like "willing to stay the course" and "put money in your pocket now instead of waiting for a payoff that may never come", etc.... There comes a point when as a landowner I am paying no more attention to their pitch than I would to a robo-call. Need cash? Sell your timber. It grows back, minerals don't.

But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
