Thanks for the clarification, Jason. I figure Consol is going to be the big winner in most of Short Creek Twp since they own so many mineral rights there. I feel sorry for the property owners because I'd guess Consol didn't really care much about protecting them when they negotiated with Hess.
The new well in Shortcreek Township is on Branson Ridge on Branson Road as you referenced. I reviewed the survey of the well and all minerals are owned by CNX (Consol). The well will be one of the jv wells drilled by Hess/CNX. The surface owners include a few property owners but the majority is owned by one owner that I would rather not just mention do to privacy. The rig will be moved there after the completion of the well east of Unionvale. I highly recommend taking a short drive to Green township and checking out the well pad and the rig east of Unionvale. You can get a great view from the road.

After a little internet sleuthing, it appears the Short Creek well is on Branson Rd, off Rt 250 near Georgetown.
Thanks, Kristie. Consol owns so much I wanted to narrow it down. It's definitely my area down there in the hollow.
Sue,
It is Consol property and it's near Foxes Bottom Rd area
How do these numbers for Wagner #1 well compare to the output of the Buell well? Thanks!
Hey Al, I see a new permit for a Reese/Cramblett 1, Operator Atlas Noble LLC in North Twp. Permit issued 8-1-2012. If it's yours, good luck.

Does anyone know where Hess is drilling in Short Creek Twp?? I'm thinking it might be on Consol land since they entered into an agreement with Consol.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
