Comment by Philip Brutz on May 25, 2012 at 12:42pm Thank you, I subscribed today. It looks like a good newspaper. It will help me keep track of what is happening around my land.
Comment by Poison Ivy on May 25, 2012 at 11:36am You know, I havent seen the Farm & Dairy in cleveland either.Used to pick it up in cadiz. Then there got to be so many good articles about O&G, figured I better get a subscription and not miss anything. That IS the article I was referring to. Thanks!

Comment by Robert and Valorie Fulton on May 25, 2012 at 9:14am A rep from MarkWest was here. They are surveying and asked permission. He was very accomidating and wanted to know if there was anyplace we would have a problem with a pipeline going in. He didn't talk any price, but did say we would be reimbursed for any trees they had to take out. I don't think they will be pushy as far as eminent domain is concerned. There are enough owners willing to let them have access.
Comment by Philip Brutz on May 25, 2012 at 7:31am I think that this is the article that you are referring to:

Comment by Philip Brutz on May 25, 2012 at 7:29am Thanks, I may subscribe to it. I have not seen it on the news stands up here in Cleveland.
Comment by Poison Ivy on May 25, 2012 at 7:19am I'm not sure. We subscribe to it and get it weekly. The Ace Hardware in Cadiz and the Shell station use to sell it. It seems like every week there is a new article about the oil & gas business in this paper. Discusses some of the lawsuits that are going on - landowners against O&G giants. Their website is www.farmanddairy.com
Comment by Philip Brutz on May 25, 2012 at 5:42am Is the Farm & Dairy article available online? It sounds like it is worth reading.
Comment by Poison Ivy on May 25, 2012 at 5:09am OOPs. Lets me correct myself. It was Farm & Dairy where I read the article . (May 24th issue) But the eminent domain applied to Enterprise Liquids forcing a landowner to let them do survey work for a pipeline. This was in Jefferson County.
Comment by Poison Ivy on May 25, 2012 at 4:38am I think so. I read an article in Farmers Dairy. If the pipelines travel OUT of state, they do. If they are IN state only, they dont. That is my understanding. Someone else spotted some big equipment and machinery that was just dropped off on Rt22, heading west out of Cadiz, pass RT519. Its near the old caboose. I intend to drive by tomorrow to check it out. This could be the pipeline coming down thru Jockey Hollow that I asked about earlier. Supposed to be heading towards the airport.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
