Thanks, Scott for this very interesting article. Lots of controversy in my area about disposal of the water left after the fracking process. This method would surely reduce that waste water amount. Will share the article with folks in the Mohican Valley landowners group.

P.I., if you like using Google Earth you can check out the discussion at Eastern Ohio well map via Google Earth in this forum, you can go directly to the ODNR mineral division maps (although it is cumbersome to use IMO), and you can try the interactive Utica Shale map at Ohio.com. There are others too, but these are all free and give good information.
Does anyone know of a website showing all of the new wells going in harrison county? I would like to see where they are pinpointed. thanks
A fellow member of this webpage indicates that he talked to a representative from the Harrison County auditor's office. It appeares as though the recent increase in valuation is directly related to a reevaluation of CAUV assessments which had not increased for the previous 20 years. Any significant increase in valuations due to the impact of minerals apparently is still to come.
