thanks dan,it was a nice change given the bad economy.im thinking its because its recreational land i dont have a house on it only a camper.my neighbor said his went down also!ps. i have 20 acers he has 8
actually dan my taxes are less this year and i own both.
Has anyone seen their property tax bill? They are adjusting appraisals now for mineral value. If you are a mineral-only owner, you should see the taxes on your mineral parcel jump to double or triple what they were. If you own surface and minerals you should see a jump too, attributed to the adjusted value of your minerals.
The Ohio DNR has updated the permit/activity reports for last week. Still not much happening in Harrison Co. See the link....

During the week of 31 December, 2011 there were 375 oil and gas leases recorded in Harrison County, Ohio. Harrison County was second only to Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.

The website below says West Virginia delegate is talking about allowing forced pooling. This is similar to emminent domain in the oil/gas industry. Ohio already allows forced pooling, 5 per year per company.
