Interesting that they reserved all of the Utica and the Marcellus in Ohio for themselves. They were very tight-lipped when discussing the Ohio Utica in the web-cast presentation. There were a few nuggets regarding how and why they now value the Marcellus acreage in this JV at $9,700 per acre, primarily because 85% of the acreage involved was held-by-production, and were "old" Dominion leases with low royalty rates. If anyone has a half hour or so, it's interesting to hear how the companies structured the deal.

Sorry to be a bit of a skeptic - too many bad experiences, I guess.  I did hear the attys say last Tues. that people have been paid.  I'm looking for the real Harrison Co. people who can confirm, "Yes, we were paid the amount we were supposed to be paid." I like confirmation.   Must be my years in politics and administration.  I've heard too many people (often professionals) make a generalization and say something is true and then found out later that it wasn't.

At the meeting in Cambridge 8-9-11 they stated that Groups 1 & 2 have been paid and that they were almost finished with the title research for Groups 3 & 4. If you desire to join the Group 5 the letter of commitment, and other forms must be su7bmitted before the members only meetin in Cambridge 8-24-11 in Cambridge. They project to have approx 15,000 acres in this group, and the timing could be right for good landowner terms, due to all of the competition now active in the play.

Clarification:  By "received their bonus signing checks," I mean actually have a check in their possession.

I know the KWGD firm has formed several groups and, as a result, many leases have been signed already.  Have these people received their bonus signing checks or is everything with them still in flux?
