Thanks for the info. We have one of those OLD leases, and a group of us have gone together with an atty. to try to get something accomplished. RHDK now wants our trust, when in the past, they have done NOTHING to earn it. I'll share this new info with the group!! Thanks again!!

If you have an "old" lease with Red Hill Development (RHDK), also know as Kimble you will be interested in the top article. They have entered a JV with Aubrey McClendon's new company to drill deep wells, with the first to be in Harrison County. See the link....

Randy, with regard to the article on Gulfport's fines for contamination, I don't think it has to be doom and gloom for Gulfport. They can make it a positive situation if they act proactively. If their current practices (whether intentional, careless, or honest oversight) were leading to environmental problems, they now have a chance to fix it and put practices in place so that it doesn't happen again. The fine and sanctions given to them by the State were insignificant compared to their Utica profits but it sends a message that all players need to be on their best game in every aspect of production. As you imply, the PR fallout has the potential to greatly overshadow any fines or sanctions, but only the potential. Gulfport has it within their power to take this mistake, learn from it, and move forward as advocates for holding oneself to a high standard of safety and compliance. It's their choice.

Busy Bee,
That odd leg is an error. Someone keyed in the bottom-of-hole coordinates incorrectly. I emailed ODNR about it and they said they would fix it within a day or so.

Gulfport has released new production numbers for the Clay, Wagner, and Lyons wells. Note that these are new laterals from those pads. See the link....

I checked the ODNR well locator this morning and it appears there is a lateral on the Helen Halter well site in Archer Twp is running almost due east. After scrolling over basically the entire play on the map I don't see another well running in this direction . Why the change in direction ? Any thoughts ?

Here's major bad news for a small company like Gulfport. It will slow down their development and hurt their image & stock price. See the link....
