Douglas W:
Found this link to the USGS Assessment of the Utica Point Pleasant Shale Play - that's all I've got for now - thought we would have seen the Ohio Geological Surveys updated map by now.

I went to the Madison meeting, it was mostly to explain the process of leasing and introduce Buckeye Mineral people. Interesting. Not much happening in Ashtabula yet though...
Could someone post a link to a map showing where the perceived or actual point pleasant formation runs in Ashtabula County? Thank you.
Anyone make it to the meeting? Any news?
The Lake Ash. Geauga Landowners Assoc. will be having a meeting Thursday 10/4 at 6:00PM at Madison High School 3100 Burns Rd. Bob Rea will be a speaker at this meeting, bringing us up to date, as he has recently attended meetings in both Texas and West Virgina. Bob also indicated that he would be offering sign ups for Buckeye Mineral for anyone who is interested .
Dain..... Atty. Jerome Lemiere said that the NELA lease is a good lease. He is in Ashtabula. Having water protection is very important to me. I do have a well and a 6 acre lake, as well as a 1 acre pond.
i see they we running test up rt193 north of rt 6 to Sentinel road Sunday. come on baby keep heading north!
Dain... I too signed parcels with NELA. I have 81 acres to be exact. My neighbor signed 15 acres with them as well. Brett and the guys are on top of it. They have been approached by smaller companies and from what I understand made offers, which were turned down. Patience is the key in this. Dain.... Did you sign your 25 acres with them?
The Seismic Trucks are 1/4 mile south of the Rt 11 Rt 46 interchange at this moment. The flags stop just on east side of Rt 11.
Dain, I signed 2 different parcels with NELA and have had all water these parcels tested and logged with reports. The people from NELA have always returned phone calls and have had knowledgeable answers to any questions.
FYI the Wishguard man was sitting at 46 and Jefferson Rd. Like he was someone important NOT!!!

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
