last April 2011 Wishgard signed leases. they claim 120 business days. Who has been paid? Today is march 30th. 2012.

If Wishgard is garbage why do they have 400 leases in Ashtabula County alone.   If ALOV can pay in October 2012, thats great.  I find it hard to believe that they can sell the "junk properties" to a driller for $3900.  How likely is it that those acres get tied to a pooling unit and really receive royalties?  I still hear that ALOV's driller will cherry pick what they want and leave the junk behind.  How many of ALOV's original group has been paid.

Wishguard is garbage. I spoke with an attorney and he said that they are a joke. When I said set the floor with prices I meant a real company coming into the shale play not an land group. This same attorney said NELA is a better situation. They have plenty of experience. I seen this attorney to make sure my property is in order. Folks this is coming. Just how big it gets is the billion dollar question.

When you say do not sign commitment papers with land owner groups do you mean folks like ALOV?. I have not signed with anyone yet..just sitting back and watching everything evolve.

However I do like the lease they have and their overall focus on property.
I know about the flippers, mainly from this site and can agree with you on not signing with them.

Most of us know prices in Eastern Ashtabula should be promising so how do I lease my property out when the O@G companies start to come in and buy up the acreage.? How do you suggest I do it?

Can you fill in the blanks

not sure if its all in Ashtabula. With BP entering the shale play does 2 things. It brings another player in and will spur competitors. Also the 3900 an acre will set a floor with prices. They will go higher.
