Here's a little story about Chesapeake/lawsuits in Texas. See the link...

So - who is signing with CHK for pipeline at $15/ft? Anyone? After a face-to-face with the company rep, we were indeed told if we allowed the pipeline, CHK would be much more likely to work with us later regarding drilling and royalties. Very much insinuated that property owners who said no would be left out, no drilling, no royalties. Not only will they "just go around you" with the pipeline, they will "just go around you" when they drill. And I am supposed to respond to this... how? It's like the Mafia - "You pay us some protection money or someone might just get hurt, huh?"  I wonder if a big corporation like Cheapskate has any idea how this kind of approach to getting ROW makes them sound.

I just saw a well summary using ohdnr map for a Hess well in green township cnxha9n4w 1h-6 that is listed as producing. The summary showed IP of 7400 MCF and 748 BW (brine water). From what I have seen on other IP's this sems very weak. Does anyone have any other info on this well.

Does anyone know if Gulfport is still leasing in Harrison County? Anyone have a phone number for a landman that works for Gulfport? The last number I got no one will answer when i call. Thanks

Totally understood, Kristen. We have a ROW coming through one corner of our property. Fortunately it is the furthest corner from the house and barn. In debating what to do, make sure you look at previous pipelines and the mess they make. I know it finishes up quite well, but it can be very disruptive while theyare working. You have to consider ALL factors!!

Sorry for the goofy post, but I feel kind of backed into a corner.

I was told in so many words that if we said no to a pipeline, the gas/oil company would be much less likely to include our property in any future drilling area, therefore, we would have no royalties from a future well, in some future time. I am pretty sure when I meet with the landman later this week, they will have read my comments here. Yes, I think $15/ft is low, that "moved onto another project" means "fired", and that no matter how nice you are to me, Mr. Landman, I am prey. I have a whole sheaf of doomy letters from investors wanting to buy our mineral rights, "better to have money in hand now than wait on an iffy future!" they proclaim. I can see me now, dressed in rags, weeping at the fabulous Palace of Versailles-like pipeline ROW on my neighbor's property, cursing my fool self for not having listened to their wisdom while I had the chance... oh, and hearing the lavish parties given by rich, royalty-receiving neighbors... sigh!

If that happened, Kristen, it must have been a rookie landman or someone who doesn't have a clue. I agree with the Fulton's.

We have never been told that!! Just the opposite is true, I would think. They will want pipelines through TO the well sites. I wouldn't think they would drill just because you have a pipeline! Sounds ridiculous to me.
