Yes JT, we did. We get these kinds of offers with some regularity now. This time, MAC wanted to buy the surface and minerals together for $6000/acre. With the possibility of making twice that in the first year of production, we are going to hang on.
Has anyone else recently received an offer for the purchase of their mineral interests from Mineral Acquisition Company?
I noticed on the Ohio Division of Mineral Resources gas well locator page that most all drilling companies are avoiding to drill laterals under or near producing/plugged wells? I understand that previous leases may have the land HBP, but will they ever drill under these (plugged/producing well) areas.
Here's the 3rd qtr financial/operating report from Gulfport. The results of the BK Stephens 1 well in Moorefield are included, and they are quite impressive. Gulfport plans to drill 50 wells in 2013, which means to me that their leased area is now proven. See the link...

Oil Field, here's the whole story. In early 2011, Atlas Energy, Inc. sold some of its interest to Chevron as you have stated. The remainder of the company (assets) were used to form Atlas Energy, LP which is a master limited partnership. Atlas Energy, LP permits qualified investors to become partners in their drawing operations. This results in a significant tax advantaged investment which is why I leased my property to Atlas Energy, LP. Chevron has nothing to do with the drilling on my property which started last month.
reese cramblet is atlas which is owned by chevron, wont chevron be the ones doing the well now
Three notable recent wells completed by Chesapeake in the Utica during the quarter are as follows:
Chesapeake released their 3rd qtr financial/operating report today. There is info on the Henderson well in Harrison county along with a paragraph on their Utica operations.

The state DNR has updated the permit/drilling report for last week. New permits for Harrison, including a second well from the Ryser pad.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
