Ray, The Gulfport Boy Scout well was fracked in June and is awaiting pipeline hookup to begin production. See the following site

August 29, 2012 (Wed) 7:00 pm Piedmont Fire Station    33030 W Main St, Piedmont, OH 43983

Harrison County business and community leaders, as well as interested residents are invited to attend a special pipeline construction issues briefing, sponsored by the Harrison County Farm Bureau. The briefing will be held at the Piedmont Fire Station on August 29 at 7 p.m.

The program will be facilitated by Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) Director for Energy, Utility and Local Government Issues, Dale Arnold. Long-term energy demand and new drilling technology have sparked interest in tapping into the Marcellus and Utica Shale deposits in parts of the Appalachian plateau. Other energy service providers are revisiting many areas of western Ohio that saw oil and gas development in the twentieth century.

Pipeline development is becoming a major issue. During the briefing Arnold will discuss developments involving interstate, intrastate and local collection pipelines, energy market trends, pipeline construction and remediation standards, the work of the Ohio Power Siting Board and other regulatory agencies governing pipeline development.  Issues concerning eminent domain and farmland preservation will be explored, as well as what landowners should consider in negotiating effective easement agreements with pipeline developers involved in interstate, intrastate and local collection network projects.

Harrison County Farm Bureau leaders are active on state and local action teams working on legislation, regulations and issues that impact agriculture and its relationship with rural, suburban and urban communities

Hess/Consol pad between Rose Valley Road and Pine Valley Sportsman Club. You can sit right along side the road and look down on the entire operation.

Phillip,

Al has the right link for you.  I have a friend in the Central Ohio Landowners' Assoc who occasionally sends exerpts from the Emens newsletters to me.  There are several good articles in this link.  Some landowners think "Pipeline? A piece of cake.  We'll negotiate this on our own."  NEVER a good idea to take on a corporation alone.

The DNR has updated the permit/drilling activity report for last week. I see the Clay permit shows up, along with drilling at the BK Stephens. See the link...

AT, Maybe the rig on the Clay place came up from Belmont. I think Gulfport will concentrate most of their drilling in Harrison and Guernsey for the first couple of years. Saw an article today that Markwest has their first mini processing plant in operation in Harrison Co. See the top article.
