Just spoke with my neighbor and he met with sixteen men from a pipeline company(Enterprise) who are surveying for future pipeline project.  I was told that it is supposed to follow existing pipeline (teppco).  Potential opportunity to be compensated for this future easment.  Have not heard any concrete numbers, this could be just as important as mineral rights.  Once pipelines are in the ground I believe they are there forever.  Atleast I think so...Will try to find out more info and post it.

Many Harrison County landowners are leased with Chesapeake. Here's an interesting article regarding their stock, and how they add value. As a side note, the KWGD Harrison Co sub group is beginning to receive their bonus payments. Payments will be made from now through Jan. 2012 as title searches are completed and it is not possible to know when they will arrive (Chesapeake's schedule). See the link...

that lets you look at the active rigs in each state, by target hydrocarbon and by trajectory; vertical, horizontal or directional. Keep in mind that B-H only counts those rigs that are actually pushing tools, rigs that are in transit or setup/takedown are not shown.It's updated weekly.

It shows 5 horizontal rigs drilling in Ohio, 16 in WV and 99 in PA. Also note that all 5 Ohio horizontals are shown as targeting oil while all the WV and PA horizontal wells are shown targeting gas.
