Is that a one-time payment of $50/ft? Doesn't seem like much for a permanent easment with all the restrictions that places on the property...
The Upper Clearfork sitework is a wetlands construction being constructed by Waste Management mandated by regulations to offset some wetlands that they are removing due to a landfill going in somewhere else
So what kind of arrangements are being done with these pipeline companies? What kind of compensation are they offering for selling them right of way? What does the contract look like? Can anyone post one? I know in some areas where there is virtually no pipeline infrastructure at all that landowner groups are negotiating as a group to make sure that landowners are getting the best deal they can (and the best protections) from the pipeline companies. Should we be doing that here?
For the Buell Well, working through Dominion, Chesapeake circumvented the landowner negotiation process for it's 3-mile connector pipeline by laying it in the county and township road right-of-way, so that that they only had to deal with road officials. I have heard some say that this should not have been allowed, but I haven't done any research on it myself. Does anyone know more about this?
Scott Enterprise bought the Tapco pipeline. They did not have a start date for the line. They were on my land the last 2 days surveying. They are surveying 250 feet on each side for a 50 foot easement and a 50 foot temp. easement. The line will around 24 inches in diameter.
Clyde when do they expect to start construction ?
Scott I started a thread back in October about Enterprise LLC. Since then I have meet with them. they are on my land surveying for another pipeline. It will run beside the one that is there now. It will carrying Ethylene from Penn. to Ind.. They are hoping to have it completed by 2014.
I heard the standing offer for Harrison is now $6400/acre with 20% royalty. Anyone else heard the same ?
Has anyone in Archer Twp been dealing with Enterprise about the pipeline project ? I recieved a letter from them today in which they were wanting access to survey across my property. I then called to see about their plans. I was told they might or might not be coming through our area. He stated that they were going to detour around the Steubenville and Wintersville areas due to infrastructure problems . Has anyone else heard the same thing ? Another thing What is going on in Harrison county ? What do you think lies ahead for us ? I thought we were in the hotspot but it seems like every other county is hotter than us right now . I am just looking for some opinions . Will someone with some knowledge on the subject please chime in ?
The Ohio DNR has updated the drilling/activity reports. Still no new activity in Harrison. See the link....

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
