Here is my guess appx where the Larmon site will be: 41.208139 -80.356184
I could find no transaction between Hilcorp and Larmon on the Recorder of Deeds. Looked the name Larmon up for all transactions. It looked like they bought the property from Michael Holodnic. Did a search for Michael Holodnic, and they had signed a lease with Haddad and Brokks in 1984. That lease was then assigned to Atlas in 2000. Went on to the PA DEP site and looked up Atlas production for Mercer County. Found a well labeled Holodnic #1 in Lackwannock Twp, and that was the coordinates for that active Medina well. Figure someplace in that general neighborhood. Probably across the road in one of those nice big open fields, or to the SE in one of those open fields where the pennant line is running through.
Anyone have a idea where Larmon farm or property is in Lackawana twp. Hilcorp applied for stormwater permit for a central facility pad esx
The recent (05/02) Halcon to Swepi 17 page deal is nothing but a corrective assignment of some of the properties involved in the Sept '13 lease swap.
JR If I remember correct Shell bought East about four years ago before the shale boom really took off in the western part of the state. East does have acreage HBP by the OMG plant in the Franklin area Venango co.
JohnL - East Resources sold 4 lots at Lake Latonka who to Swepi which in turn sold them to an individual. I suspect that East was/is a subsidiary? of Shell. Dunno. I'll take a look at the leases Halcon sold to Swepi as soon as their available online to see if there's any pattern/rhyme/reason to them.
Swepi to Halcon , or vice versa? Or was it a lease swap?
I seen on recorder site that Halcon did a 17 page deal with SWEPI

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
