Sam; here is a map of the Blue Racer;

 http://http://www.blueracermidstream.com/where-we-work

Scroll down to see the Pennant Midstream map others posted earlier. The Blue Racer goes along the Ohio border, crosses into Pa near Pymatuming and will serve n Mercer and s Crawford counties. The Pennant/NiSource will go through NW Lawrence and into central Mercer County.  Now if Shell gets moving on the line through e Lawrence and into Butler and Venango, we will all be good to go!

Sam- NiSource is planning to have the line completed by the 2nd half of this year or so I've heard. Right now Hilcorp looks like the big dog in Mercer county and rumor also has it that Hilcorp is planning on bringing in up to 6 rigs this spring. I'm also hearing that Hilcorp is quietly leasing in Pine, Wolfe Creek and Worth TWP . I've been told that they expect to be drilling that area in the next 1-2 years. They're working their way north towards Sandy Lake TWP and the Sandy Lake/Stoneboro area. So it sounds as though things are headed your way in Venango County. The hard part is being patient.

Thanks John! I think it is great news to see a pipeline actually under construction and headed toward Mercer. It will be interesting to follow the progress of the construction. Hopefully someone knows about how long it will take to complete. Without infrastructure, O&G development will be limited. This pipeline is infrastructure. It also indicates that Hilcorp is confident about the geology in Mercer County. I hereby invite Hilcorp  to continue in a northeasterly direction which will lead them to my property in western French Creek Township. I doubt that geology suddenly gets worse at the Mercer / Venango County border.

Sam - this thread is regarding the NiSource/Hilcorp Pennant Midstream pipeline running from Mercer, PA to Hilcorp's Cryogenic plant in Springfield TWP Mahoning County. I believe it's also refered by some as the Hickory Bend Northern pipeline. I also find these pipeline projects confusing and hopefully I have the above facts straight. Tyler posted some detailed maps at the top of this page of the Pennant Midstream 20-24in pipeline.

I don't think its the Bluegrass Pipeline because I thought that one was cancelled?? These Pipeline projects are confusing. It would be nice to know which, if any, are under construction; and from where and to where they are going to run. Of course it would be nice to know if Shell really is going to build the Cracker plant near Monaca. Was the recent extension of Shell's option for 6 months or a year??

Tyler: What is the name of this particular pipeline? And where is the cryogenic facility that you are talking about. I apologize for my ignorance. Is this the Kinder-Morgan project mentioned in the thread that you started some time ago to which the only reply was by Trapper November 2013? Also please reference a link to any map of the project that we are talking about. Thanks for your prior posts which have been quite helpful.

JohnL,

The pipeline has started.  It looks like it s working its way back from the cryogenic facility into PA.

Wow, a little flurry of activity here.  My offering:  The Palmer well is still flaring and is still a very impressive flame.  I have seen five firsthand and the Palmer is easily the largest fwiw.  Chevron has applied for a permit on Nate Bowser's property on Hosack Road in Jackson Center.  Now we know why Hilcorp assigned/sold ~10 local leases to Chevron.  Swepi is initially planning two wells from the Mills pad; one northwest (2089N-5HD) and one southeast (2089S-4HD) with two additional wells to the northwest(2089N-1&3HD) to follow at least.  The 4HD unit to the southeast will miss my plant's property by 150 feet and at least for the moment, they are not planning another lateral to the southeast .  Damn.  :(  So close...

Passed by some heavy equipment activity today on Buckwalter Rd which is south of 318 and close to Greenfield Rd. This is right where the pipeline, according to the maps, is suppose to cross.

Took a ride sound tonight to see if any work has been started on the Pennant Midstream pipeline. Didn't see anything except the road has been widened where Stiester Rd meets Siedel Rd (Hilcorp- Jefferson Montgomery site-Pennant Midstream end point)

Has anyone else seen any activity?
