To add to Bob Rock's comments...  The Swepi Palmer well was drilled and then walked away from, but Swepi is busy on the Mills pad which happens to be right behind my plant on Rt. 358, just a half mile east of Camp Perry.  Maybe Guy Shannon will drop by and let us know what's going on at his place.  I think Halcon is broke and waiting for proceeds from their north Texas leasehold sale and/or a midstream JV partner before they do much more drilling or pipeline work in Mercer or Venango. Just mho.

I have approximately 180 acres of Oil and Gas interests for sale in Venango County. Properties are split into 7 parcels ranging in size from 4 acres to 100. Located in various townships. Price is lower than you might think. I can sell as a package or individually. PM me for additional information. This discussion is not being started as a pro/con to selling.

Halcon is trying to buy a pipeline right-of-way through Lake Twp, Sandy Lake Twp and others for $20 a foot. The very people that Halcon screwed out of the so-called guaranteed lease about one year ago are being asked to allow Halcon to put a pipeline through their land. Evidently their well in Polk is a good producer and they need a way to pipe the product west to the TGP

I heard today that there are plans to build a processing unit at the end of the Bluegrass Pipeline in Mercer County. Has anyone heard anything about this and does anyone know where the proposed pipeline ends/begins in Mercer county? From the map it's somewhere North of the Mercer-Clarksville Rd.

Hello,  I am looking to sell our mineral rights in Mercer County.  Anyone know what is the going rate?  Recent offers?

Thanks

James, Hard to say without seeing exact location and who owns what around it or the availability of pipelines and/or other nearby pads. But I would say that Hilcorp seems to be concentrating along the Ohio/Pa border and Chevron is currently working a new well just south of Mercer so I would say that Chevron is most likely.

However, they could swap leases or do a joint venture. The one thing that is for sure is that these companies are unpredictable.

I have a propery near mercer pa that is leased by chevron and hilcorp, who would be more likely to drill in that area of the 2 companies? If your wondering how this is possible, my property had an atlas well drilled on it several years ago and last year I was able to get part of the property released from chevron because of a clause in the lease, I then leased that part of the property to hilcorp. I wonder if one of them will trade their lease to make a unit down the road?
