Anything to discuss here? : http://www.law360.com/articles/427283/law-firm-says-gas-drilling-co...
Has anyone lately been by the chevron site near 158? From a distance, and through the trees it looks like they have installed at least two, maybe several, huge... i mean huge holding tanks. Looks like they are 40 to 50 ft in diameter and about 30 or so ft tall. Whats up with that? Surely they are not brine tanks.
JohnL, The TGT station 219 is located 4 miles north of Mercer on route 58, the Mercer Greenville Road. Williams purchased the gathering lines from Atlas in Mercer County after the deep rights sale to Chevron. Included with that purchase Williams also acquired several small pumping stations from Atlas. I believe that is why Chevron drilled their first wells in Mercer County at a Williams pumping station. That well site is located about 2 miles south of Mercer on the Mercer New Wilmington road (route 158).
JohnL, I think you are correct about Tennessee Gas as I understand they are going to undergo a construction upgrade at their Mercer pump station (219) this year. I'm guessing when that upgrade is complete they can then pump gas ( and possibly liquids) south. For the past 50 years they only pumped gas north but now they have lost that market. Who knows possibly Williams will purchase part of the Tennessee system. That business wire article give us an idea of the amount of wet gas they are projecting to find in this area!!

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
