When Tracy first posted this I thought it odd she would have signed an "extension" after only 60 days when the lease states they have 90 days. I asked her for clarification and she told me that she signed a lease in Oct and then in Dec was told to sign another lease as the offer had gone up. This means that even though she had already signed a lease, she was given the opportunity to sign a better lease two months later, making several hundred dollars per acre more.
How many times has that happened with a landman?
CX and M&P are moving into lease negotiations with multiple O&G companies. There are 3 meetings scheduled for next week if you want to learn more about the group - all land in Mercer County is welcome to join (that is not already under lease).

I signed directly with HilCorp through Western Land Services in December and was paid two weeks ago. I hope it's just a congestion dilema for you...
I do have one more lease pending with them due anytime, so I'm not out of the woods yet, best of luck!

Yes, they are shown above the well logs on the diagram. Nothing horizontal just a straight down hole to see what is down there. I hope they like what they saw!
I think the two red stars in Mercer County must have been test wells as the same two points are on some other maps (ODNR?) as black dots and indicated as such.
It looks like there is a 200 ft thick wet gas reservoir at the bottom of the 600 ft thick Utica shale which is about 6400 feet deep! Great info for us Mercer County people.
Here is the link to the pdf. Please look at pages 23 and 24.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
