My sources tell me on the west side of Charleston Road between McCullough Road and Lamor north of the dragstrip.

What did Shell say at the meeting about their plans for Mercer County? Are they seeking to lease additional acreage? How many wells do they plan to drill in Mercer County in 2013 or 2014? Did they say anything at all of substance?

There was a large notice in Sundays Sharon Herald  announcing a Shell Open House to be held Wed at the Hempfield fire dept in Greenville where Shell will discuss their exploration plans for Mercer and Crawford counties. If you go to the Mercer County Recorder of Deeds web site you will see that Shell (SWEPI) has less than 400 O/G leases listed. Hilcorp has over 4000, Halcon has about 1000. In Lawrence County Shell and Hilcorp swapped leases. Could the same thing happen in Mercer County?

Shell is getting active again, they were at my brothers farm for almost 2 hours tying to get him to sign papers. His farm is located in Millcreek township, about 3 miles from the 2 Halcon well sites in Venango county.

Drove down Bartholomew Rd behind the James well off 62 this morning. Looks like the tap in to the TGP line is complete along with a compressor on skids tied in. The pipe laying in the ROW heading towards the James pad looked to be about 4 inch

I talked to a state representative from Pa. yesterday and he had the opportunity to meet with a lobbyist from Hilcorp this past week. The lobbyist told him they have spent three hundred fifty million dollars on leasing land in Mercer county!! They are very excited about this investment. If my math is right and they paid $3250/per acre for their leases, they must of leased over 107,000 acres. This will make Hilcorp one of the largest players in the county. If we are all patient it looks like Mercer county is the place to be!

Floyd Wilson, CEO of Halcon, will be on MadMoney tonight at 6 PM on CNBC.  I am sure he won't mention the lawsuit but he might discuss the Utica and Mercer Co.
