"Gulfport continues to actively pursue acreage in the Utica Shale of Eastern Ohio. To date, Gulfport has closed on leasehold interests in approximately 60,000 gross (30,000 net)acres. Gulfport currently has signed commitments which will increase its positionin the Utica Shale to approximately 115,000 groo (57,500 net) leasehold acres. Gulfport is also currently evaluating additional acquisitions in the Utica Shale that could potentially increase its commitments to approximately 130,000 gross (65,000 net) leasehold acres in the coming months. Gulfprt will serve as operator of its acreage in the Utica Shale and currently plans to bring a rig into the play in early 2012 to begin drilling its acreage."

Taken from Gulfports Form 8-K, reported today with their quarterly earnings report.

There is an informational meeting scheduled for 8-9-2011 @ 6PM

at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center in Cambridge. The meeting is FREE

and open to all. I understand the presentation is very informative. It is

put on by the KWGD law firm from Canton. They are currently forming

Group 5 Ohio Landowners, and will shortly be closing the group. I plan

on attending if I can make it, as I am still unleased.

3700@17.5%  Wow and the naysayers said, What!

The play is on and the players have ran onto the field, the home team is favored, the rules have changed, the umpires and coaches will continue to disagree while XTO hits it out of the park.

You gotta luv summertime in the Appalachian basin.

I recently posted an ALOV update which resulted in a lengthy conversation with an ALOV director yesterday. At the request of that director, I deleted all the ALOV posts due to concern over confidentiality issues. When I expressed personal concerns about ALOV's obligations to keep landowners informed, I was promised that ALOV would be providing leasing updates in the near future. I had specifically stated that the number of leases codified is a matter of public record and should be provided to all who have signed with ALOV

Mark,

Congrats. Sounds like you and the wife are pleased with

your new lease and that is cool. Can you share who the operator

is, and what the word "merge" means?

Good job Mark!  Where are you located?

Having taken my time listening to sound advice, my land is going to be leased with an outstanding form. I feel protected, the legal was approved, title clear and now the price is where most said it would never go, however our team leader tried his best to tell us all to wait, slow down, get educated.   I am so thankful my wife and I did so.

My hope now is that the drill bit hits paydirt[shale]liquids and plenty of it.

$3700/17.5% the competition has arrived.  The word ''merge'' is key for the next 3 weeks.
