Brad,

This is very interesting news. What is the name of the new drilling company?

Jerry, thanks for that info.  Consol is really trying to get themselves a piece of the gas pie.  Has anyone actually signed leases with Consol, or are they just drilling on their own mineral holdings?  I would think they could stay busy drilling for a long time just doing that.

Counsol's quartely production report out today.  Natural gas production up 44% over same quarter last year.  More information comming on Jan 27th report.  Do you suppose the Barnsville well might be a significant contributor?

One of my neighbors just got a letter Friday from Wellington for the first time, offering their services.  So I guess they are still active.

I have not heard from my new landman at all.  My old landman said the new person would be contacting me.  Time will tell.  Has anyone heard anything from Wellington in the last few days?

Scott, I know Chesapeake closed a big sale with China late last year for some leaseholds in Texas, but I haven't heard of them doing that around here, have you?

I haven't heard from my landman since they had the big Kenyon employee meeting earlier in the week.  Maybe they decided on some repositioning of resources.

Does anyone have any info on Chesapeake energy selling off leaseholds to pay off debt ?  Has anyone had any contact from Kenyon in the last few days.  I was told that my landman I have been dealing with was moved to a new area.  I have not yet heard from the new landman who was assigned to me.

What is your piece of ground going to be worth if you never have your mineral rights?  There are some many clauses in the lease agreement that I think you may never see your mineral right again.  Granted if they do turn Harrison County into a main drilling area I think the royalties would be great.  However what if they don't deciede to drill in our area. ( I know they already started I can see the rig from my front porch)  How much is our land going to be worth?  Would you buy land without mineral rights?  I myself would never sell my land, but you never know what could come up.  Feel free to correct me on any of what I said.

Clyde I have been talking with them as well.  I don't like where they state if you are not paid your up front bonus in 120 days the contract is null and void.  They have nothing at stake.  If they don't flip your lease then they are out and so are you .

Scott  I just received a letter from Wellington. They are offering $1000 to $1500 per acre signing bonus and 15% gross royalty. They are claiming they will develop all of my acreage in ten years.

They claim they have 5000 acres leased in throughout Harrison, Columbiana, Jefferson, and Carroll counties.
