I see the "REAL ESTATE FIRM FORMS NEW GROUP IN BELMONT COUNTY" thread has been removed, I'm sure due to the blatant solicitation that was presented there.

How do these numbers translate into landowner royalties for those of us in the wet zone?

Comment by Matt Warnock on September 28, 2011 at 3:42am

The production numbers look very promising.  Any idea on how long the production was measured (in terms of days) before this press release was generated?

Comment by Shower Bath on September 28, 2011 at 2:09am

Chesapeake releases production numbers. Looks very positive.

h bo, Most of the investor presentations that I have seen have been pretty conservative in their recovery estimates. As far as the thickness of the shale they are somewhat comparable depending on location, although the Eagle Ford may be deeper than the Utica is around here. Both shales hve the three zones of dry gas, wet gas, and oil. It's the wet gas and oil that will establish the market value.
