Chresesapeake nears $3.4 Billion in Utica shale deals in todays Wall street journal. The article states an undisclosed international major energy company has signed a letter of intent to pay $2.14 billion for 25% minority stake in 650,000 acres. Chk also plans to sell $1.25 billion in shares of a subsidiary for 700,000 acres .  What do you guys think ? Who do you believe the JV partner is ?  I just wonder after the news of how good the Buell well is how come nothing else has happened ? Could Harrison county be a big bargaining chip in this new deal ?

That's interesting concerning the size. My neighbor who is meeting with them today was told it was a 36" pipe. I guess we will all find out In due time. Did they give any timescale on when actual construction would begin?

Scott  I talked to Lynn McMillen. He said the line would be between 18"- 24". It will run into Indiana and will carry wet gas out of Pennsylvania.

I agree with Peter. We should form a landowners group.
