it is so great to live in Harrison County.  I am proud to be from the often joked about Appalachian region.   Time and place, it truly is location-location-location.

It seems like only yesterday we will listening to ''shovel ready'' and tryin our best to get a seat at the table...well guess what folks, we are no longer on the menu.   Many long hours, over the past 4 years have been spent on bringing attention to our wonderful home. With just the info on this page today,we can see the future is at hand.  Continue to post the latest news, continue to think outside the box, continue to bring the education to our finger tips, continue to communicate.  Thanks to all who have contributed to the educational part of this Point Pleasant Shale play, what is commonly become known all over the world as the UTICA.

Sue, Ray -- I'll help by getting the monkey off of Randy's  back. The Boy Scout well is being drilled in Nottingham Township. A map showing the location may be found here:

The first pad is ready and they are working on the second at the Henderson farm. There are 2 wells going in 1 mile apart from each other.

Randy, that Gulfport presentation is nicely done.  This is the Utica Play map from that presentation.
