Peter, it seems very smart to gather all the landowners along this proposed pipeline corridor to negotiate a good deal for all.  Do you have a map of the route (I assume the old Teppco line) you can post?  Perhaps you could do that and give more details in the Pipeline Easements discussion.

Enterprise has 15-year committments from suppliers, so there is real confidence out there that this is all going to go really well.

I've just received a call from the Enterprise Liquids Pipeline agent regarding their right-of-way (ROW) offer on my property south of Deersville. My neighbors have also been contacted. The route is along an existing East-West 50' ROW that carries an 8" liquids pipeline, formerly Teppco. This line enters Harrison County west of Tippecanoe, goes between Clendening and Tappan Lakes and then just north of Hopedale, ending near Stuebenville.  The new pipe will be from 16" up to 24" diameter and will carry ethane to the Texas Gulf Coast.

I'd like to hear from any other landowners who are on this route and have been dealing with Enterprise.

The state DNR permit/drilling reports have been updated for 2-5-2012. The Henderson permits are issued for 1H & 3H, in Stock Twp. Looking at the reports, it appears Chesapeake is starting to permit multiple wells from the same pad. See the link....

Scott, one theory is that Devon is better at fracking oil shale areas.  Almost all of their acreage is in the oil area of OH.  It will be very interesting to see the production reports next month.  We will get a better idea of dry-wet-oil boundaries.

Phillip ,  i would say the western portion of Guernsey wasn't what CHK was after. If it was why would they sell it. They have said all along they were after the wet gas. Maybe that is where the wet gas boundary lies. I have nothing to back up what I am saying it's just a thought.

Josh it sounds like Chk is trying to get their ducks in a row.  A few weeks ago they said they were going to drastically reduce their dry gas operations and concentrate on the wet stuff. Today they state they are trying to partner and possibly sell assets such as the Permian Basin acreage . " a look at the permian basin '' http://www.epmag.com/item/Permian-Basin-Undergoes-Liquids-Revival_9...   I think all roads are leading here to the Utica shale in Eastern Ohio.  We have these two Markwest plants coming to Harrison and Monroe counties. A possible Shell cracker coming somewhere in S E ohio or WVa. Large pipeline projects coming through Harrison Spectra and Enterprise. I think we need to be patient " If you build it they will come " . In my opinion we need some infrastructure in place and then it should really heat up. Where will Chk dispatch the rigs they are removing from those dry gas areas. my guess a good portion of them might be headed our way. Chk says the utica is economically superior to the Eagle Ford and they have 30 rigs there according to their operations page. I heard from a source the other day that the entire Northern half of Harrison county would be in drilling units . So that was encouraging news. Thats my take on it . I would love to hear what everyone else believes concerning the status of Harrison County ?

MarkWest may be in the EPA's crosshairs. For further detail go to:

Thanks Philip. The company that purchased the Guernsey County leases was Devon. It appears that Devon then entered a joint venture agreement with a superlarge, Chinese petrochemical company (Sinopec) valued at $2.2 billion. For more information go to:
