Comment by bill a on May 2, 2012 at 1:11pm Has anyone heard of this site called Shale Gas Insiders (www.shalegasinsiders.com )? They seem to have pretty good info on Ohio lease bonus prices in the Utica. They have a table breaking down all Ohio counties in the Utica play and a general going rate for leases in that county. Other articles too. Any info would be helpful, thanks. The site is www.shalegasinsiders.com
Comment by 4 quarter on March 9, 2012 at 6:44pm Where is the longwall group of Belmont County? They seem to wreck ground more than this shale drilling!

Comment by Dan Warfield on March 1, 2012 at 9:25pm Why not negotiate (or insist) on a copy of the seismic results for your property if they want to go across your land to do this work? You're the owner of the O&G until you sign a lease. Don't worry about reading the results... you'll want an independent geologist to explain them to you so you can verify the information. All townships and municipalities should insist on this!

Comment by Craig Miller on March 1, 2012 at 1:14pm Anyone approached yet for seismic testing? My neighbor claims he was offered $5 an acre to run seismic testing on his 40 acre parcel.
Comment by Philip Brutz on February 12, 2012 at 11:55am Antero Resources will pay $5,900 per acre with 21 percent on royalties in
Belmont, Monroe and Noble counties.
